Frequently Asked Questions

As mentioned above, we at RGA take gymnastics seriously. Becoming a club member encourages students to consider training as a long-term commitment and investment, and also provides access to our early bird payment discounts – and the savings would more than cover the cost of membership in less than a year.

No, RGA is closed during PHs. If you are still eligible for a make-up class in that term, you may arrange for one. RGA does not specifically offer make-up classes for PHs. Please note that we may open during public holidays in lieu, in which case we will inform members beforehand.

RGA will offer make-up classes if we cancel a class, for example, when the venue is being used for competitions or other events.

Bring your situation to the attention of our staff. We may be able to make certain arrangements in specific situations, such as a long-term M.C.

In recreational classes, coaches recommend students for promotion based on their skill level / readiness for the next class. Once their recommendations are approved, parents are informed and decide if they want to move their child. Entry into competitive classes is by invitation only, usually upon recommendations by senior coaches.

Early bird payment of class fees must be made before the 7th lesson of the current term.
Standard fees apply if payment is made between 8th to 10th lesson. Late fee apply if class fee is made for the current term.

Firstly, it is distracting for both coaches and students, and therefore poses an unnecessary safety risk. Secondly, we are unable to create a safe and sufficiently large seating area due to space constraints.

At RGA, we want students to have fun, but we also take gymnastics seriously. Classes progress at different rates, and therefore within the same type of class (e.g. different Fun Kidz classes), students may be at different stages of learning.
Allowing multiple make-up lessons is disruptive to their own progress as well as the other students in class when they join class they join in a class that is at a different learning stage.
Secondly, especially when classes are nearly full, it is frequently not possible for us to schedule more than one make-up lesson per term.

RGA takes the operational costs for a whole year and divides it into the 5 terms, with public holidays taken into account. That is why students pay fees for a “term” rather than “10 classes”.

Long Vacation / Holiday Packages are available if you plan on bring away for a few weeks. Please enquire at our front desk for details and terms and conditions. Do note that these arrangements and payment must be made before the beginning of the term.

If your child is still within the correct age group, then the class may still be suitable. Also, classes often progress together: last year, they may all be beginners in the level, but this year, they may all be intermediate, which means that the class content would have progressed accordingly. Also, at more advanced classes, skills get more difficult, and more time is needed to master those skills.

We have our own RGA Recreational Grading Programme for our recreational classes. Grading will be done once a year in Term 4 / 5. A report will be given after each assessment.
